Tests, such as ultrasound imaging, provide further insights into the female reproductive structures. Women with the following conditions should consider undergoing a fertility evaluation:

• Inability to conceive after trying for a year (or six months if over 35 years old)
• Diagnosed reproductive system disorders affecting the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or uterus
• Abnormal menstruation, including heavy, irregular, or absent periods
• Multiple miscarriages
• History of endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, or pelvic inflammatory disease
• Partner with known or suspected male infertility factors
