HELPING WOMEN SET A PATH TOWARD MOTHERHOOD‍

Family planning is an exciting life chapter, but many women experience challenges that delay or prevent wanted pregnancy. Fertility issues are relatively common—1 in 6 couples struggle to conceive naturally. Infertility is typically diagnosed after a couple is unable to get pregnant after having unprotected sex for one full year, or six months for women 35 and older. Whether you’re facing irregular menstrual cycles, recurrent pregnancy loss, or possible infertility, our skilled physicians are here to work with you to determine the best path for safely and successfully conceiving a child.

A fertility evaluation is a comprehensive health assessment that determines an individual's reproductive potential. Tests, such as ultrasound imaging, provide further insights into the female reproductive structures. Women with the following conditions should consider undergoing a fertility evaluation:

  • Inability to conceive after trying for a year (or six months if over 35 years old)
  • Diagnosed reproductive system disorders affecting the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or uterus
  • Abnormal menstruation, including heavy, irregular, or absent periods
  • Multiple miscarriages
  • History of endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, or pelvic inflammatory disease
  • Partner with known or suspected male infertility factors

We offer several in-house options for initial steps to diagnose and treat infertility:

  • Ultrasounds to identify underlying medical conditions, such as endometriosis, PCOS, and other reproductive organ disorders
  • Semen analysis
  • Oral medications to help induce ovulation

If you are experiencing difficulty conceiving, Women's Health Consulting IL offers fertility evaluations to help you gain a deeper understanding of your reproductive health and explore potential treatment options.
